What does the first visit consist of?

The First Visit at Institut Marquès: Everything You Need to Know

When you decide to start treatment at Institut Marquès, the first step is to schedule a first visit with one of our doctors specialised in assisted reproduction. This consultation is key to establishing a personalised diagnosis and treatment plan.

Schedule the first visit

You can schedule your first visit in person at our facilities or, if you prefer, via videoconference, always maintaining the same quality and attention. To arrange your appointment, contact our patient care team and select the date and time that best suits your availability.

Once the appointment is scheduled, we will ask you to send us your personal details. If you already have previous diagnostic tests, it will be helpful if you share them before the appointment, so that the doctor can review your case in advance.

Confirmation of your appointment

You will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your appointment. If you have chosen to make an online consultation, this email will include a link that will allow you to access our videoconferencing platform on the agreed day and time. Our technology guarantees a smooth and personalised interaction, almost as if you were present at our premises.

During the first visit

The first consultation lasts approximately 45 minutes. This time is used by our assisted reproduction specialists to:
  • Get to know your medical history in detail.
  • Evaluate previous treatments (if any) and analyse test results.
  • Recommend additional tests, if necessary, to ensure a more accurate diagnosis.

At the end of this assessment, our specialist will discuss with you the most appropriate treatment options for your case.

Additional testing and treatment planning

If the specialist considers that additional tests are necessary, we will schedule a second visit to discuss the results and confirm the treatment that best suits your needs.

Personalised follow-up

After your first consultation, our team of Patient Assistants and Medical Assistants will contact you to guide you step by step through the following procedures to start your assisted reproduction treatment. We make sure to provide you with all the necessary information and support in your language.
